Under the moniker Radia, violist Ryan Davis is an innovative composer-performer, combining inspiration of classical, folk, electronic, and hip-hop music. Utilising a loop pedal, his music seamlessly blends classical music with percussive electronic sampling and multiple layering of catchy string hooks, resulting in a dynamic and unique creative voice. Praised by The WholeNote as “showcasing multitudes of colours and possibilities, with much skill and imagination,” Radia has swiftly emerged as a “composer, violist, and electronic Wunderkind” (OperaRamblings). He was named one of “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30” by CBC Music in 2021.
Featuring new original works, catch Radia’s unique singular musical style, unifying his extensive classical training with loop pedal techniques.
